There are several libraries located in the municipality. The central library is located in Vejle, on Willy Sørensens Plads 1, next to DGI huset.
To see the other libraries and their opening hours check their website (or in English).
There are opening hours where there is staff available to help, but the library is open outside these hours for registered loaners. With their loaners card (the yellow card) they can let themselves in and borrow or return books.
To register as a loaner, you need to have your yellow card (sundhedskort). You can either register online with NemID or go to the library to ask the staff.

When you register you get a 4-digit code which you will use when you borrow books.
Remember that if you return your loaned items too late, you will get a fine.
Besides finding books, magazines, music, games and more in the library, there are other offers that you might find interesting.
The library hosts a lot of events; creative cafés, talks, book clubs, children activities and more. You can find the calendar here.
They also host regular global or expat dinners, where local and international people can meet, exchange food and experiences. Everyone brings a dish to the dinner to share with each other. Check out the website for the next date.
