Networking

    • A common challenge when you move to a new place is building a network and making friends and relations.
    • Building your network and making friends can seem difficult, but Vejle offers different ways to connect with locals and internationals.
International activities and networks

There is a very active international community in Vejle with activities where you can meet both other international citizens and Danes.

The Vejle Expat Network is an association for foreigners living in Vejle and they host many events.

There is a very active Facebook group called 'Internationals in Vejle'.

Many activities and events for internationals are held in Spinderihallerne, e.g. the international salons. It’s an informal forum for internationals and locals to meet and discuss art, life and other things.

Making connections

If you find it difficult to meet Danes, do not be discouraged. There are different strategies you can adopt to get in touch with new people, some of them are described by the expat author of the blog 'How to live in Denmark' in this article.

Some of the events and activities she described for Copenhagen also exist in Vejle.

Sometimes, there are board game evenings (brætspilsaften) in the café BRYG in Vejle. Look out for events on Facebook for the schedule.
