    • If you want to participate in elections in your home country while living abroad, there are no general rules at EU level.
    • How you can participate in elections while residing abroad is determined by rules that are specific to each EU country. These rules indicate: if you are allowed to vote from abroad at all; if you can still stand as a candidate while living abroad; what types of elections you can participate in from abroad (local, regional, national...); the conditions to be fulfilled.
